I've purchased a new ear clip adapter (BC 1200 USB PPG Recorder) and would like to use this device instead of the wrist monitor (BC 4000 USB ECG Recorder) i currently am using. how do i get the program to recognize the ear clip?

Here is the instruction how to start using the BC 1200 device.
1. Run HRS PE.
2. Click ‘Select Device’ button in the right bottom of the Settings screen. Biocom Technologies Registered Devices dialog will appear.
3. Click ‘Get Device List’ button in the dialog.
4. Select Biocom 1200 device in the list of devices. Green mark will appear on the current field of the list.
5. Click OK button.
HRS PE will work with BC 1200 device after that. If you would like to change device, just select another device in the Biocom Technologies Registered Devices list and click OK.

Thanks it works. Now I can switch between two devices.
I have another question. I am planning to do research to compare HRV parameters calculated from ECG and PPG. Is it possible to use both devices simultaneously in HRS PE?

Yes, technically it is possible. This feature is available for additional fee. Please, call to our tall free number 1(877)-218-3223 to talk with sales representative.
